For years, the Chi Alpha Campus Ministry house at Stephen F. Austin State University has been a place of discipleship, friendship, prayer, late-night conversations, small groups, and life-changing encounters with Jesus. It has served as a spiritual home and a refuge for countless Lumberjacks seeking God and community during their college years.
But our home needs help.
Three large trees around the house have continued to drop heavy limbs, causing significant damage to the roof. After professional evaluation, we learned that the trees must be removed for safety, and the entire roof now requires full replacement. These repairs are essential—not only to protect the house itself, but to ensure that Chi Alpha students have a safe, welcoming, and functional ministry space for years to come.
That’s why we are launching Together We Raise (The Roof)—a campaign to restore and safeguard the ministry home that supports the mission God has called us to on the SFA campus.
Our goals:
- $3,500 to remove the hazardous trees
- $14,500 to completely replace the roof
- A stronger, safer home for students to gather, worship, study the Word, and grow in Christ
Chi Alpha Campus Ministry at SFA is an employee of the Assemblies of God U.S.A under the EIN #27-0398668. The Assemblies of God U.S.A. is a registered 501(c)3.
Every gift, no matter the size, brings us one step closer to providing a secure and lasting home for future generations of Lumberjacks. And as a way to honor this house’s history, donors giving $250–$499 will receive a small handcrafted décor piece made from the original red front doors, and donors giving $500+ will receive a larger keepsake block as a reminder of the ministry they helped build.
