For years, the Chi Alpha Campus Ministry house at Stephen F. Austin State University has been a place of discipleship, friendship, prayer, late-night conversations, small groups, and life-changing encounters with Jesus. It has served as a spiritual home and a refuge for countless Lumberjacks seeking God and community during their college years.
But our home needs help.

Thanks to faithful partners like you, the Together We Raise (The Roof) campaign has reached its goal, securing the Chi Alpha ministry home as a place of discipleship, community, and transformation at SFA.
A Fresh Coat of Welcome
We’re stepping into the next phase of the restoration of the SFA Chi Alpha House on North Street!
Phase 3 focuses on replacing aging windows and refreshing the exterior of the house with new paint. These updates are more than cosmetic—they are about stewardship, hospitality, and creating a space that feels safe, inviting, and cared for the moment a student walks up to the door.
Because of the overwhelming generosity shown during Together We Raise (The Roof), we’re able to move forward sooner than expected with the next phase of restoration. While we are still finalizing contractor quotes due to the accelerated timeline, we want to transparently share our projected needs and goals.
Estimated project scope and goals:

Replacement of 43 windows throughout the ministry house

Repair of wooden siding and exterior trim in preparation for painting

Full exterior paint to refresh and protect the home

Estimated total cost: $40,000 (final cost may be higher or lower as quotes are completed)
Renewing the Outside to Better Welcome Students Inside
Chi Alpha Campus Ministry at SFA is an employee of the Assemblies of God U.S.A under the EIN #27-0398668. The Assemblies of God U.S.A. is a registered 501(c)3.
Every gift, no matter the size, brings us one step closer to providing a secure and lasting home for future generations of Lumberjacks. And as a way to honor this house’s history, donors giving $250–$499 will receive a small handcrafted décor piece made from the original red front doors, and donors giving $500+ will receive a larger keepsake block as a reminder of the ministry they helped build.
