So I was reading a little E. Stanley Jones this morning and he was talking about committing ourselves to God. He gave and example of a guy in india when going the vote for someone to be in office, he went and couldn’t make up his mind. He then proceeded to vote for everyone. Jones pointed out that by voting for everyone he actually voted for no-one. Our lives can be the same, if we say we are committed to Christ yet hold things back and do them our on way, then we are not really committed to anything or anyone.
at least I post something…anything at all
Nope we are still in Shreveport. Just came down to BR for the test.
We are doing fairly well.
Thank you!!!
why did you comment to chris jackson on my site???
oohhhh, that’s good stuff!
Word, man. I been reading a lot of ESJ, especially his last book, which he wrote after having a stroke. It’s very true: when you spread yourself too thin you become ineffective. What was the class Nick taught at Spring Thing? “Do More, Accomplish Less?”
deep.
That’s good, and I try not to hold things back…you have to be gung-ho about Christ (or on fire if you wanna make it sound pretty) 🙂
